We are expanding our cadre of dog walkers, back up dog walkers, and pet sitters. These positions are perfect for college/graduate students, retirees, stay at home parents and anyone looking for rewarding part-time work, excellent wages, and adorable animals.
Applicants must reside in NOVA within 3 miles of Arlington. These positions are fun and rewarding, as you get to enjoy the outdoors, exercise, and be loved by amazing fun fluffs! These are all part time supplemental income positions. Pay starts at $14/hour and upwards, depending on experience. Weekends earn you more pay, and tips are 100% yours.

Dog Walkers Needed
Dog walking is a great way for individuals to get some great exercise and be able to enjoy the outdoors all while caring for man’s best friend. Dog walks are typically scheduled M-F between the hours of 10am-4pm, so candidates should have similar availability. Candidates should also be confident in their dog handling skills and be comfortable caring for dogs of all sizes, breeds and temperament. Candidates must be able to track their schedule in a calendar or planner, be accessible by and responsive to email on a daily basis, and have their own reliable insured vehicle and current driver’s license. Dog walks are assigned within a 3 mile radius of the zip code 22206. Minimum 4-month commitment required.
- Must have a love and passion for animals and be willing to walk in any type of weather conditions.
- Must have dog walking experience / control of dogs of varying sizes and breeds. (both personal and professional experience will be considered)
- Must possess exceptional written and verbal skills to interact with us and our clients.
- Must be dependable, responsible, reliable, have strong communication skills, and common sense and good judgment.
- Must be adaptable – things happen.
- Must manage time efficiently to adhere to strict windows of service
- Must maintain safety of clients’ keys, possessions and confidential information
- Must have Monday-Friday Availability 11am-4pm (EVERY DAY, not necessarily working that whole duration)
- Must be detail oriented and understand the importance of customer service.
- Must own a reliable, insured, registered vehicle and have a valid drivers license.
- Must have daily access to the Internet and be able to check email up to 3x/day; responding to texts in a timely fashion.
- Must be able to provide references and pass a criminal background check if accepted.
- Must be in good physical health.
- Must be willing to commit 6 months, but a year or more is preferred.
Substitute Dog Walkers Needed
Our sub walkers work Monday-Friday on an as needed basis. You must have an open schedule and be available to fill in for midday dog walkers who are sick, on vacation, or have a last minute emergency.
Pet Sitters Needed
Pet Purrfection pet sitters act as primary caregivers for pets while their owners are away. Pet sitters will either give multiple visits a day, stay in a client’s home to watch their pets, or, if an option, watch the pet in their own home. Must be available at least 1-2 weekends per month. Holiday availability is also preferred.
Pet Sitting is a great way to supplement a full-time income and also works well paired with dog walking. When clients head out of town and can’t take their pets with them, this is a great option for them. Care is extended primarily to dogs and cats but can include care of more unique domestic animals. Visits are conducted between the hours of 6-9am and 6-9pm with occasional midday visits between 10am-4pm during the weekend. Candidates must have availability during the morning, evening and weekend timeframes in order to be considered. Pet sits are assigned within a 5-mile radius of zip code 22206. Candidates with full availability (AM, PM, Overnights, Weekends, Holidays, limited pet restrictions) are preferred. Minimum 6-month commitment required.
